Our Story

It all started with my hair loss problem. My mom has been a tailor all her life and I grow up surrendered by fabric. I learned how to cut, sew and design for a young age. I made the first scrunchie using her scrap material and I won’t lie and say that I stopped my hair loss, but it surely helped a lot. I started sewing more using my mom sewing machines. I made some for my eco-conscious best friend, she loved it because they were unique just for her and sustainable. That’s how Jonis Handmade was born. Last year I moved from selling them custom made on Instagram to selling to local clothing businesses in Albania. Now that I moved to US we still sell B2B but we now have our own website and sell in US too. Fast forward one year—I went from making scrunchies by myself, for myself—working from my bedroom—to selling them online working in my own little studio in Florida.

Our Fabric

Mostly of our fabric comes from scrap materials from tailors and fabric shops.Itsnew, high-quality, unlimited design fabric that wecollect and sortanddoamazing pieces.Our goal is to minimize fabric waste by usingthe fabricthat will otherwise go to landfills.It’ssomething small considering the amount of fabric waste globally but this is our contributionformother earth.This makesourproductsarenot onlyunique pieces orlimitededition but alsosustainable.

We are always going to use 100% recyclable materials whenever we can. and our PACKAGING is 100 % recyclable

Meet the founder

Jonis Handmade will always be rooted in family. With my mom helping me collect, choose & cut fabric and my fiancé handling the deliveries, there’s an incredible amount of love that goes into creating each piece.

But as we grow, our family extends beyond our home—welcoming new hands, hearts, and talents to join us in making Jonis Handmade even bigger and better.
